Due to unavoidable circumstances, we are cancelling all the Computer related classes this Summer. We will return with new and updated courses in Summer 2023.

Engineering Camp is open to students aged 7-14, grouped in aged appropriate sessions. Like students with talent in athletics or the arts, students with academic talent deserve the opportunity to develop their skills to the highest possible level. The University of Houston, along with Engineering for Kids, presents a week-long cameo of fun, engaging, and rewarding challenges that explore several engineering disciplines such as Aerospace, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, and Environmental Engineering. Students learn how engineers impact society, and experience engineering themselves through hands-on, creative investigations and design activities, where exploration and risk-taking are encouraged. While the focus is on S.T.E.M academics and project based learning, the social experience that results from bringing these students together is an integral part of the program which creates a summer to remember!

Learning another language has never been so much fun! Through our language immersion summer camps children will acquire a new language in a fun and natural way and will be able to use the language they are learning in a meaningful way. At our immersion summer camps, children will be able to learn Spanish, Mandarin Chinese and French while having a blast! These classes are offered in conjunction with Language Kids World (www.languagekids.com).

Students aged 6 through 12 who make it their business to always look for new doors or exciting possibilities are primed to experience ScienceCamp, where cutting-edge content lures them into the intriguing world of science. The University of Houston, along with Mad Science, Health Museum and Engineering for Kids, presents a week-long cameo of up-and-coming science concepts using experiments, hands-on projects, and slyly scientific games. It's a grand science adventure that leaves students wide-eyed and breathless!

Summer is not the time to stop learning. It's the time to bone up on skills, get a jump on the coming academic year, take an intensive SAT training, and have a great time with peers while doing it. SummerAcademy short camps offer courses grouped according to grade levels, with small classes for maximum gain. Elementary and junior high students choose from a wide range of math and communications courses, designed for fun as well as improvement. High school students hone their SAT skills because, next stop - university!

WritingCamp is the place for young writers looking to find or develop their voices. The courses range from skills for beginning writers to skills for students who are preparing to enter college. These workshops are offered in conjunction with the Writers in the Schools organization (www.witshouston.org).
