Making History Your Own
Whether responding to a school history fair project, entering a history contest, or exploring your own personal history, using a creative approach is a surefire way of captivating an audience. In this one-week course created by Writers in the Schools, you will be working with a professional writer exploring the steps in identifying a topic of interest to you, writing to a variety of creative writing prompts using information from your research, and choosing a presentation model that fits your own personal style. At the end of the week, you will have a final product that can be shared at school, with your family, or as part of your writing portfolio.
